Privacy statement

The following privacy statement applies to the use of this website. In principle, it is possible to use our website without providing any personal data. However, if you wish to use a particular service of our company through our website, the processing of your personal data may become necessary.

This website is subject to the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and takes into account the main points of the European Union's (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We strive to protect your data within the framework of the applicable data protection laws and the technical possibilities available. We generally transmit your personal data in encrypted form. We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption system, but would like to draw your attention to the fact that the transmission of data over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may present security vulnerabilities.

This privacy statement will be updated over time in order to adapt it to legal requirements and the services offered. The current privacy statement applies. Changes take effect as soon as they are published on our site.

Processing of personal data

Our website allows you to register for various services by providing your personal data. In general, the input form used for registration indicates which personal data is transmitted to the data controller.

Personal data is any information relating to a specific or identifiable person. This includes, for example, a person's name, address, email address or telephone number. We may process this personal data. The term processing refers to any operation or set of operations, with or without the help of automated processes, in connection with personal data, such as collection, recording, organisation, classification, storage, adaptation or alteration, sorting, retrieval, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or any other form of making available, comparison or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

The personal data you enter is collected and stored solely for internal use by the data controller and for its own purposes. As soon as possible, we anonymise the data. Anonymisation means that no conclusions can be drawn about the person concerned.

The decisive criterion for the duration of the retention of personal data is the legal retention period or a legitimate interest on our part in retaining it, e.g. the performance of the contract or for the purpose of preserving evidence. The corresponding data is then systematically erased.

Data we collect directly

As part of the use of our website and the related services, we may collect the following personal data:

Enquiry forms

If you are interested in a property offer, you can submit an enquiry to us via a form. The input form used indicates which data is transmitted with the enquiry. Your data may be entered manually into third-party software or imported via an interface. Depending on the data recorded, we may suggest other property offers matching the criteria of your enquiry. The identification of relevant property offers may be done manually or with the help of software. We may inform you of these property offers by email, by post or by telephone. You can unsubscribe from these services at any time.

Creating a property search profile

Users of our website have the option, via a form, of saving a property search profile. A property search profile allows you to share your preferences regarding your property search. The input form used indicates which personal data is provided when a form is saved.

The personal data collected when creating a property search profile is used only to send you information about matching property offers. The data transmitted may be entered manually into third-party software or imported via an interface. If your search criteria match a property, we may inform you by email, by post or by telephone. We may also contact you periodically to update your personal data in connection with your property search profile. You have the option at any time to temporarily deactivate or permanently delete your property search profile.

Newsletter subscription

You can subscribe to our company's newsletter via the form or by email. Where possible, a confirmation email is sent to the email address provided on the first dispatch of the newsletter, using the double opt-in procedure. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. If the link is not present, please report this to the data protection officer of our website.

Our newsletter may contain a tracking pixel. A tracking pixel is a very small digital image placed in these emails that allows the recording and analysis of log files. They are used for the statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. The analysis may be anonymous or relate to personal data. You can disable the loading of these external graphics / tracking pixels in the settings of all common email programs.

Data collection during applications

We may collect and process personal data from applicants for the purpose of handling applications. Processing may also take place electronically. This is generally the case when an applicant sends us their application documents electronically, for example by email or via the form on the website. The data transmitted is used exclusively in connection with the position applied for.

In order to continuously improve the quality of our services, we use the following technologies on our website.

In order to record this information, Google Analytics uses cookies. As mentioned above, you can prevent the installation of cookies on our website at any time by configuring your internet browser.

We have no influence over the data used by the social networks. We do not use social plug-ins to store personal data. To find out more about the collection, processing and use of personal data by the social networks, please consult their respective privacy policies.

Transfer of personal data abroad

We may also transfer your personal data to third-party companies or to mandated service providers abroad, in particular in Europe and the United States, insofar as this is appropriate for the data processing described in this privacy statement. These are required to protect the data to the same extent as we do. If the level of data protection in a country does not correspond to the Swiss level, we guarantee contractually that the protection of your personal data corresponds at all times to that of Switzerland. We ensure this by concluding EU standard contractual clauses or other contracts approved by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner with the mandated service providers.

Retention period of your data

We retain your data only for as long as the law or the purpose of the processing requires, in particular for the performance of the mandate or the contract, as well as for compliance with legal obligations.

In the event of an analysis of your data, we retain it until the analysis is complete or until you object to its further processing. If we store data in the context of a contractual relationship with you, this data is retained at least for as long as the contractual relationship exists, and at most for as long as the limitation periods for any claims on our part are running, or for as long as legal or contractual retention obligations exist.

In accordance with the law, we are required to retain the content of the contact form and the subsequent email correspondence for six months.

Erasure follows as soon as we no longer need your data for the stated processing purposes and we are no longer legally required to retain it.
